Bespoke Research
Whether you would like detailed research on a part of your family tree, or you have hit a brick wall and require a little 'detective work' to try to break through, contact me for a free, no obligation discussion of your particular needs.
Contact me for a free, no obligation, initial assessment of your requirements. Once you are happy to proceed we will agree a budget and the parameters of the research. I will keep you appraised of progress via email on at least a weekly basis. In addition, you will be given a breakdown of costs to date and the opportunity to discuss and adjust the goals and budget of the research as required.
My professional fee for this service is £23.00 per hour. Expenses, such as copies of original documents, are charged at cost while any travel (to Archives for example) will be charged at cost for standard rail fare (I do not charge for travel time). A deposit of £65.00 is required on commissioning.
On completion of my research you will be provided with copies of any original documents and a full report of my findings. Depending upon the size of the research project, the report will be compiled into a comb bound folio. For an additional £40.00 I can compose your research results into a hard-back book as a permanent memento for you and your family. Please select this option when you commission your research by adding the Hard-Back Book option to the Bespoke Research Deposit in your cart. Alternatively, so long as I am informed in writing at least two weeks prior to the anticipated date of going to print, the Hard-Back Book option can be added to your final invoice.
Once I have received your deposit I will send you an agreement to complete and return to me.
